Lithium-ion batteries power most vaping devices. When used properly, they are safe and reliable. Improper handling, charging, or storage can result in overheating, fire, or personal injury. Read and follow all guidelines below.

ESSENTIAL BATTERY SAFETY TIPS FOR VAPING

READ YOUR INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

Make sure you read and fully understand the manufacturer's recommendations for the use and care of your device before operating it.

If your vape device did not come with instructions or you have additional questions, contact the manufacturer directly. Always follow the manufacturer's requirements for proper use.

ALWAYS FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S REQUIREMENTS.

BATTERY STORAGE & TRANSPORT

ALWAYS KEEP BATTERIES IN A PROTECTIVE BATTERY CASE.

  • ✕Do not store loose batteries in your pocket, purse, or bag.
  • ✕Do not let batteries come into contact with coins, keys, or other metal objects.
  • ✕Do not store your vape device in your car or expose it to extreme heat or cold.
  • ✕Do not leave your device in direct sunlight or freezing temperatures.

KEEP YOUR DEVICE, BATTERIES, CHARGER, PARTS, AND E-LIQUIDS AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.

Store all vaping products in a secure location that is not accessible to minors or animals.

DO NOT USE A DAMAGED OR WET BATTERY

  • ✕Replace batteries immediately if they become damaged or wet.
  • ✕If your device gets damaged and the batteries are not replaceable, contact the manufacturer.
  • ✕Inspect your batteries regularly for visible damage, including the outer insulation jacket.

NEVER REMOVE THE INSULATION ON A BATTERY.

DO NOT USE A BATTERY WITH A MISSING OR TORN INSULATION JACKET.

DO NOT USE THE WRONG BATTERY

  • ✕Only use batteries specifically recommended for your device.
  • ✕Do not mix different brands of batteries.
  • ✕Do not use batteries with different charge levels or mAh ratings together.
  • ✕Do not use old and new batteries together.
  • ✕If replacing multiple batteries in your device, replace all of them at the same time.

ALWAYS USE A BATTERY SPECIFICALLY RATED FOR YOUR DEVICE.

CHARGING SAFETY

  • ✕Never charge your vape device with the wrong charger. Do not use a phone or tablet charger.
  • ✓Always use the charger that came with your device.
  • ✓Charge your vape on a clean, flat, hard surface, away from anything that can easily catch fire.
  • ✓Charge your device somewhere you can clearly see it at all times.
  • ✕Do not charge your device overnight or leave it charging unattended.

PROPER BATTERY INSTALLATION

  • ✕Do not install batteries backwards.
  • ✓Always follow the manufacturer's markings for correct polarity (+ / -).

IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR FIRE HAZARD.

SAFETY FEATURES

DO NOT REMOVE OR DISABLE SAFETY FEATURES ON YOUR DEVICE.

Safety features are designed to protect you. Tampering with or bypassing them can result in serious injury.

BATTERY DISPOSAL

  • ✕Do not throw batteries in the trash or recycling bin.
  • ✓Dispose of batteries at a designated battery recycling drop-off location.
  • ✓If a battery is damaged or swollen, place it in a non-flammable container with sand or cat litter and bring it to a hazardous waste facility.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

  • ✓If a battery is venting (releasing gas or smoke), move it to a non-flammable surface away from people and flammable materials. Do not touch it with bare hands.
  • ✓If a battery catches fire, use a Class D fire extinguisher or sand. Do not use water.
  • ✓Seek medical attention immediately if battery acid contacts skin or eyes.
